About this file
The document is a Contractor Questions and Government Responses file for Solicitation FA480325R0027, covering the 20 SF Armory Intrusion Detection System (IDS) Upgrade project. The government seeks to replace the current Honeywell Vindicator IDS in three buildings (B825, B1843, and B1865), which were constructed between 1986 and 2009 and range from 130 to 810 square feet. Key technical requirements include upgrading panels to Windows 10/VR 22 firmware, replacing all sensors/keypads/duress buttons with newest approved devices, implementing individual device tampers, creating single alarm points without daisy-chaining, and integrating the system with the Security Forces Head End IDS that reports to Base Defense Operations Center. The project mandates complete replacement of all network/IDS cabling, which must be run in conduit, and requires all junction boxes to have tampers and alarms. The government explicitly states no equipment substitutions are allowed, and all work must use Honeywell Vindicator equipment and be completed during specified times in the Statement of Work.
