About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the 20th Security Forces Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base, detailing requirements for six Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTVs). The UTVs are needed to support base security operations, including perimeter checks on areas lacking serviceable roads, emergency responses, and training exercises in challenging terrain. Specific vehicle requirements include 4WD/AWD capability, a truck-style bed with 500 lbs capacity, 1500 lbs tow capacity, 10 inches of ground clearance, an enclosed cab with hard doors, and the ability to transport 4 people.

The SOW outlines key specifications and procurement terms, including a mandatory 1-year warranty where the contractor will replace any defective parts or components at their own expense, and a required 3-4 year service contract covering mechanical failures and maintenance. Additionally, the contractor must assist with obtaining necessary clearances and passes for employees to enter Shaw Air Force Base, with Security Forces potentially conducting background checks on personnel. The procurement is targeted for 01 October 2024, with the vehicles intended to replace and enhance the squadron's existing UTV and ATV fleet used in daily operations.
