About this file
This document contains a set of questions and answers related to a federal contract opportunity, solicitation number FA480324QB028, for the procurement and installation of a heat treat oven. The key details are:
The heat treat oven is required to process aluminum and various steel samples, with each sample not exceeding 40 lbs. The agency requires the oven to have a temperature range of 375°F to 900°F, but does not have specific heating or cooling rate requirements. The requested interior chamber size is 24" H x 24" W x 60" L, and the power requirement is for single-phase 230V. The agency's current process uses a circulating air and still air furnace. There is no specific delivery date requirement, but the oven is needed within 3 months. The agency does not anticipate volatile outgassing from the samples and does not have access to a Thermogravimetric Analyzer (TGA). The agency has not specified the required instrumentation type for the oven.
