Amendment 0001 26 August 2021
Questions with Answers
1. Regarding SOW Para 1.1 General Requirements IDS statement, “Contractor shall procure and install required IDS equipment for 9th Air Force office areas of Building 1130 Annex (specified on the attachment).
Can the Government identify the dimensions of the highlighted green open storage area to better understand the size of the spaces?
The space is approximately 7,350.
2. Can the Government identify what room number within the area of work that the system will be connected back to? It appears there are multiple telecom rooms and other rooms that may appear to be comm rooms.
The alarm panels will need to be in the General’s office and it will run back to the network switch inside room 123 and all that will need to be programmed to the BDOC headend.
3. Is it acceptable for the Vendor to utilize flush cable hiders installed closest to the ceiling and the highest part of the wall to minimize the visual of the wires? Would the Government prefer the Vendor run any cabling and wires up in the ceiling (above the drop down ceiling)?
The wire needs to be run above the drop ceiling. Wires need to be concealed within walls.
4. If mounting above the drop down ceiling, can the Vendor utilize the existing raceways or conduit?
No, the vendor will need to provide their own conduit.
5. What is the height of the ceiling in the Building 1130 Annex (to the drop ceiling, and then how much space is between the drop ceiling and the actual ceiling for work space)?

6. Is the ceiling made of drop tiles if so, can the Government provide the size and material of the drop ceiling?
The ceilings are 2x2 acoustical tiles
