SUBJECT: Store Modification Assessment of MXU-648 Travel Pods

Reference: 19 Jan 2010 e-mail, subject - 5 Down 25 To Go; 8 Jan 2010 e-mail, Pod Latch Paint from Scott Ehni, EhPro Custom Fab

1. Per your request, the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office has conducted a Store Modification Assessment (SMA) ofMXU-648 Travel Pods being modified by your organization. Based on photographs of 5 reconditioned pods and data supplied by EhPro Custom Fab describing details of the modifications, changes should not adversely affect the performance or reliability of the pods. All changes are low risk.

2. Recommend the following actions:

a.) Inspect new latches/bolts after first flight for any loosening. If any problems are found stop use of all modified pods and contact AFSEO.

b.) Inspect remaining 20 pods upon completion to ensure consistent quality.
