944 OG Det 1 Gym Renovation
Statement of Work: New Gym Equipment
Gym Equipment Upgrade – Aviation Performance Team, 54th Fighter Group
Project Overview: SOW details the supply, delivery, installation, and training for new gym equipment and flooring for the 54th Fighter Group located at the 944 OG Det 1 building. This project aims to modernize the facility, enhance the user experience, and expand fitness offerings by replacing existing outdated equipment with new, state-of-the-art equipment. The project timeline will be mutually agreed upon and documented in a separate project schedule after contract signing. This SOW supersedes all prior communications and proposals.
1. Scope of Work: The contractor is fully responsible for all aspects of this project, acting as the General Contractor for the installation, including:
1.1. Supply & Delivery: Delivering all equipment listed on page 3 of this SOW. Delivery will be scheduled with the customer at least 72 hours in advance, occurring between 0700 and 1700 MST, weekdays only. Delivery, Installation, and Training shall be completed within 60 calendar days of contract release. The contractor is responsible for offloading, inspecting for damage upon delivery, and staging the equipment in a designated area, minimizing disruption to gym operations. Any damaged equipment will be reported immediately to the customer and replaced promptly by the contractor.
1.2. Installation: Professional installation of all equipment and flooring according to manufacturer specifications, industry best practices, and all applicable building codes. This includes assembly, placement, anchoring, leveling, and testing. The contractor will provide all necessary tools, equipment, and qualified personnel for the installation.
1.3. Training: Providing on-site, hands-on training to a minimum of two designated customer staff members on the proper and safe use, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of the new equipment. Training materials, including user manuals, maintenance schedules, and warranty information, will be provided in both printed and digital formats. Training will be scheduled within one week of installation completion.
2. 944 OG Det 1 is responsible for dissassembly, removal, and disposal of existing gym equipment and flooring prior to installation of all new flooring and equipment by the contractor. The contractor will coordinate with 944 OG Det 1 on delivery and installation timelines at least 72 hours before the installation of the new flooring and equipment.
3. Product Specifications: Quantity, dimensions, weight capacities, and other specific features
(1) Functional Training Half Rack w/attachments – Must be at least 11-gauge steel, multi-functional twin cross cable machine with a 300 lb weight stack, must include seated lat pull down, seated low row, standing cable leg curl, and adjustable cable pulleys. Must be bolted to the floor.
(1) Functional Training Half Rack – Must be at least 11-gauge steel, multi-functional twin cable stacks with 300 lb weight stack. Must be bolted to the floor.
(1) Cable attachments - Lat pulldown bar (1), triceps rope (1), ankle strap (1), D-handles (4).
(1) Standard Half Rack – Must be at least 11-gauge steel. Must include fat bar chin up bar, and have the ability to connect adjoining racks. Must be bolted to the floor.
(1) Neck Machine – 4-way neck machine, plate-loaded, 150 lb weight capacity. Must have adjustable seat and adjustable neck pad.
(1) Dumbbells Set – Non-rounded, urethane encased dumbbells, 5-100 lbs in 5 lb increments, with a three tier storage rack.
(2) Barbells – 20kg or 45 lb barbell, 86-93” bar length, 15-17” loadable sleeve, 28.5mm shaft diameter, 4” center knurling, minimum 190K tensile strength.
(3) Combo Bench – Adjustable Bench with cabapility to stand vertically for storage purposes. Must have wheels for rolling purposes. Must be sequentially adjustable to a 90 degree vertical position to a decline position.
(1) Gym Flooring – 768 sq ft, 13mm sports flooring, anti-microbial, non-reflective, seamless appearance, slip and shock absorbent.
(1) Seated Leg Curl/Leg Extension Machine – Seated leg curl must be adjustable to allow for seated leg extension capability. Must have adjustable, 3 inch tibia pad and start pad. Weight Capacity: 300 lb weight stack.
(1) Belt Squat – Plate loaded belt squat made of at least 11-gauge steel with capability to attach to standard half rack. Must include adjustable belt.
(1) 45 Degree Back Extension – Adjustable 45 degree back extension.
(2) Monolift J Hooks – Heavy duty J hooks with swivel to allow for monolift capabilities.
(1) Bumper Plates – Rubber coated bumper plates 2.5 lb (6), 5 lb (8), 10 lb (16), 25 lb (8), 45 lb (32).
(2) Dip Rack Attachment – Capable of hooking into standard half rack.
(2) Nordic Hamstring Rack Attachment – 3in pads
4. Installation Requirements: The contractor assumes full responsibility for all aspects of installation, including adherence to OSHA and local safety regulations, securing necessary permits (if required), worker's compensation insurance for installation personnel, and maintaining a safe and organized work area. The contractor will provide a certificate of liability insurance to the customer before commencing work.
5. Flooring Installation: The contractor will be responsible for preparing the concrete surface by cleaning, patching, and ensuring proper levelness, then installing the rubber flooring according to manufacturer specification, (e.g., interlocking tiles, adhesive). The contractor will ensure the flooring is properly fitted, secured, and finished to create a safe and functional gym surface. All work will adhere to relevant safety regulations, and the contractor will maintain a clean and organized work area, removing all debris upon completion. The project will be considered complete upon final inspection and customer approval.
6. Equipment Installation: The contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the installation, including delivering and assembling the equipment, securely anchoring each piece to the concrete floor using appropriate hardware and techniques (specifically bolting the cable machine and racks), verifying and ensuring proper electrical connections, leveling and testing all equipment for proper function, removing all packaging and debris, and providing training to designated customer staff on the safe and correct use and maintenance of the installed equipment. The contractor will adhere to all applicable safety regulations.The project will be deemed complete upon successful equipment testing, staff training, and customer sign-off.
7. Space Planning: The contractor must ensure that all equipment identified in paragraph 3 will fit in the space outlined in Appendix A, and be functionally usable in that space. 944 OG Det 1 has final approval of layout. This approval is required before initiating delivery and installation
8. Clean-up: The contractor must also ensure that all debries and packaging is removed and that the level of cleanlieness is confirmed via written means that the level of cleanlieness in the space is acceptable to the customer, 944 OG Det 1.
9. Acceptance Criteria: A final walkthrough of the space must be complete with representatives of 944 OG Det 1 and the contractor. The contractor shall obtain written confirmation from the customer, 944 OG Det 1 that all equipment, flooring, and installation meets requirements as outlined in the SOW and attachments.
