1. If there will be no site visit, will there be photos?
a. Yes, see photos attached below. The photos are of similar exhaust hoods found online.

2. Do you have a filter count that each hood system has?
a. Average of 3 per unit-estimated 90 filters total
3. For logistical purposes, can we know the times each location would be available to clean where it doesn’t interrupt cooking operations?
a. Yes, the contractor would coordinate with the facility manager of the facilities in question as well as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to ensure schedule is conducive to both the operations of said facilities and the contractor performing the cleaning. Below is an example of a tentative monthly schedule:
i. Bldg. 531 Club Holloman - 1300
ii. Bldg. 227 Charley’s - 1730
iii. Bldg. 227 Taco Bell - 1830
iv. Bldg. 33 Popeyes - 1930
v. Bldg. 468 Strikers - 1330
vi. Bldg. 325 Oasis Pizza – 1500
4. What are the approved detergents referenced in PWS section 1.1.1 Cleaning Method?
a. Food handling approved and environmentally safe. Prior to award, recommend vendor submit proposed detergents to Government for Environmental approval. See PWS paragraph below:
1.1.1. Cleaning Methods. Positive cleaning methods shall include but not be limited to the following processes or a combination thereof:
- Manual removal of solidified, semi-solidified or liquid cooking by-product.
- Low pressure application of United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) or facility approved detergents.
- Wash/rinse processes utilizing high pressure hot water cleaning.
- Wash/rinse processes utilizing saturated steam cleaning.
- Bioremediation.
