Q&A - FA480123Q0008 Flooring IDIQ
1. Can the Government provide a list of authorized off-base disposal locations?
a. Otero County Landfill. Any out-of-county contractors will have to call and verify access to disposal.
2. The estimated workload data provided shows an estimated 6,000SF of floor prep and labor but estimated install quantities of 16,200 SF. Will the remaining 10,200SF not need floor prep and labor?
a. The 6,000 sq. ft. is above and beyond what is stated in the PWS. Historically, the floor prep line item is not utilized often.
3. Can the Government provide estimated quantities or historical data for the T-cap edge strip requirement for all transitions?
a. No, the Government does not have that data available.
4. In addition to the required contract manager, does this project require any other supervisory positions (i.e. supervisor, quality control manager, etc.)?
a. The government will provide a Contracting Officer (CO), Contract Administrator (CA), and Contracting Officer Representative (COR). The contractor is not required to provide any additionally supervisory positions.
5. Will asbestos removal be done by another party or is it part of this contract?
a. The 49th Civil Engineering Squadron (CE) checks for asbestos before the contractor is made aware of the job. Therefore, any asbestos will be remediated before flooring work will be accomplished.
6. What is the submission method for this bid? i.e. hand carried, email, PIEE.
a. The Government will accept any submission method as long as it is before 29 Jun 2023, 1400 Mountain Standard Time.
7. Do both the PDF bid schedule and attachment 1.1 excel need to be provided for pricing?
a. Please fill out both the SF1449 PDF and Atch. 1.1., Flooring IDIQ bid sheet.
8. Will the Government have a scheduled site visit for this project?
a. Due to the nature of the requirement, there will be no site visit because we do not know exactly which buildings will need flooring installed. The Flooring IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) covers almost the entirety of the base, therefore, a site visit is not appropriate.
