Q1. How many generators and what kW size are they?

A1. See table below

Q2. What type of fluid analysis will be required?

A2. Oil and coolant analysis need to be completed on an annual basis. Oil changes will need to be completed as needed to maintain unit health and efficiency. The coolant will need to be flushed and replaced on a 2 year cycle.

Q3. I am not familiar with (IAW) Operation and Service Manuals. Is there somewhere I can view these documents?

A3. In accordance with (IAW) the operation and service manuals provided by the Manufacturer per product. Cummins Parts and Operations Manuals https://power.cummins.com/parts-and-operations-manuals

Q4. Is load banking required for each generator yearly?

A4. There are six (6) generators. Each generator will receive a one (1) hour load bank each month for eleven (11) months. The twelfth (12) month will be an annual service for each generator.

Q5. What are the access requirements to get on the base? Will background checks be required?

A5a. All contractors will have signed a government provided consent form authorizing the U.S.

Government (United States Air Force) to conduct a background check to confirm their eligibility to be granted access to Holloman Air Force Base (HAFB), NM.

A5b. All Foreign Nationals requesting access to HAFB (for official and unofficial visits) must provide three (3) valid forms of ID consisting of: A state issued driver’s license/ID card, Social Security card, Resident alien card, Employment Authorization Document, or Passport/Birth certificate.

Q6. How far in advance is the flight schedule known for the MQ-9 aircraft? / What is the flying schedule?

A6. The weekly flight schedule is known one week in advance however doesn’t become official and is subject to change until the Friday prior to the week of flying. For example the flying schedule for the week of 14-18 May isn’t official until 11 May.

Q7. If a maintenance day is scheduled and aircraft are then scheduled for the same time, then the maintenance will have to be re-scheduled ?

A7. Typically all generator maintenance is conducted on the weekends while there is no flying scheduled. In the event a maintenance day was scheduled during the week on a “no-fly” and an aircraft had to be launched then the generator maintenance would have to be rescheduled.

Q8. Can the fixed tower generator be worked on during other operations, other than the MQ-9?

A8. The fixed tower generator can be worked on while other aircraft are flying but not while MQ-9’s are airborne.

Q9. Would [fixed tower] generator be limited to weekends only?

A9. As with the generators in the GCS yard, maintenance for this generator would be limited to “No-fly” days, typically Saturday or Sunday.

Q10. Since each of the 6 generators require a 1-hour load bank test each month, can the scheduled work time go beyond 8 hours in 1 work day?

A10. We absolutely can accommodate work past 8-hours to complete the required work.

Q11. Where is the UPS located, and is it to be maintained monthly, semi or annually? / Can we quote just generator maintenance and not UPS testing?

A11. UPS maintenance was stated in error. They’re currently under another maintenance contract.
