STATEMENT OF WORK
PROJECT MUHJ 03-4247
REPAIR EAST APRON, F. 6020
AT
JBLE-LANGLEY
10 Apr 2017
| 1. | DESCRIPTION OF WORK: |
| 1.1 | General Scope: Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and perform all operations necessary to perform work to repair by replacement, the transient aircraft parking area (Brownie Pad), the Flight Line road, and the T-38 East Apron transient parking area. Repairs include the removal of existing pavement including the aggregate base and sub-base, unclassified excavation, subgrade stabilization, placement of a new sub-base and base section, concrete pavement, replacement of existing box drain, 24” reinforce concrete pipe replacement, manhole modifications, aircraft tie down, pavement markings, and curb and gutter replacement. Environmnetal testing is required to determine if the existing subgrage material contains any contaiminants prior to disposal off base. |
| All work shall be in accordance with the design and current UFCs included in the specifications. |
The design package provided by the government is for full depth replacement of the T-38 East Apron area. However, the Contractor shall use this design to perform full depth replacement of the Brownie Pad only. Selective slab replacement is required for the T-38 parking area and Flight Line road. Contractor will submit a Geometric Plan Layout, and Joint Layout for the Brownie Pad for approval using the design provided (C-300) as guide.
Please see attached slide for clarification:
-Phase I (Fligh Line road): Selective slab replacement (red boxes only) -Phase II (Brownie pad): Full depth replacement -Phase III (T-38 Parking area): Selective slab replacement (red boxes only).
2. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: The contractor shall sequence his work to ensure progress efficient for airfield operations.
