About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA470426Q0004, dated March 18, 2026, addressing bidder inquiries regarding a Halon systems inspection service.

The document clarifies key procurement requirements and specifications. Contractors are required to submit pricing sheets and supporting documentation only; completed SF1449 forms are not required at this stage. The requirement is structured as a one-time inspection service rather than a recurring Blanket Purchase Agreement. Regarding Halon system deficiencies discovered during inspection, contractors must report issues to the Government, after which remedy options—including replacement quotes, repair quotes, or no action—will be discussed collaboratively. The Government does not currently possess Dates of Manufacture for the units under inspection. The solicitation references Model 600K equipment, which is the Halon-utilizing version of the Model 600, and this Halon-equipped 600K variant is the equipment being utilized for this inspection contract.
