About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for a Pool Coverage and Accessories contract for Beale Air Force Base, specifically for the 9th Force Support Squadron (9th FSS). The document provides detailed measurements for two pools: the Lakehouse pool and the Main Base pool, including precise dimensions and locations of various pool features such as ladders, slides, lifeguard stands, chair lifts, and obstacles near pool edges. The measurements are extensively documented, listing distances from coping, pool corners, and specific structural elements like poles, posts, and corner plates.
The Q&A confirms this is a new contract requirement with no incumbent, and addresses a specific contractor question about whether pool equipment like ladders and slides are removable (they are not). The measurements appear intended to help potential contractors accurately plan for pool coverage solutions, likely to address issues like crane fly larvae infestations and debris accumulation that can cause pool closures. The contract is associated with the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command and aims to support mission readiness and quality of life for military personnel and their families at Beale AFB, California.
