About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the installation of 8 directional fans in Dock 8 at Beale Air Force Base. The scope of work includes furnishing and installing 8 Pivot 2 directional fans, 6 feet in size, with a maximum decibel level of 70dB. The contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, materials, and incidentals required to complete the installation.

The SOW specifies that the fans will be column-mounted approximately 3 inches below the existing duct line, with the exact placement determined by the contractor's recommendation and approval from 9 CES. Electrical requirements include using two available circuits in each hangar, with each circuit capable of powering two fans. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local construction standards, as well as Air Force safety regulations. The project has a 30-calendar day performance period upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed, and payment will be made upon completion of the work.

MEMORANDUM FOR 9 CONS/PKB

FROM: 9 AMXS/RA

SUBJECT: Statement of Work - B11200- Dock 8 Directional Fan Install

1. PURPOSE: Install 8 Pivot 2 6ft directional fans to reduce the infiltration of birds into the hangar. The fans will be column mounted in the hangar approximately three inches below the existing duct line. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, tools, equipment, materials, operations, and incidentals as required to install directional fans in Dock 8 hangars.

2. Scope of Work: The Contractor shall perform all work in accordance with the following specifications. The following scope of work shall serve as general information only and shall not limit the contractor’s responsibility or obligations to perform all task(s) within local and federal laws as well as manufacturer’s recommendations.

The Contractor shall provide a broken-out cost proposal that will reflect all labor, equipment, and materials to accomplish all the government’s requirements outlined in the

SOW

The fans will be column mounted in the hangar approximately three inches below the existing duct line. Exact placement will be determined based on the contractor’s recommendation for the best air flow and approval from 9 CES.

The contractor shall provide submittals and drawings of the fans and proposed installation locations and submit a 103 in the AF Work Management System within 7 days after award. Construction will not occur until the documents are approved by 9 CES.

Sample documents provided, for reference only.

The contractor will procure all items for the installation, to include but not limited to:

o 8 - Directional Fan Kits, Pivot 2, 6', 100-125V/1P, maximum decibel 70dB o 8 - Pivot Mount Kit, Column Mount o Protective baskets around the fans o Wall-mounted switch placed at consumer height

Electrical specifications: 9 CES has determined that there are 3 open circuits in each hangar.

o There are only two circuits available, in each hangar, for this project.

o Fan voltage needs to be 100-125V.

o Based on the Pivot 2 specifications, two fans can be connected to one circuit for a total of four fans per hangar

The contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and local NEC construction standards. Current Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) standards and COVID-19 safety regulations also apply.

Contractor shall comply IAW all NFPA, AFI, UFC and ETL standards for fire safety.

Entry: All contractor vehicles must enter the base via the Wheatland Gate and shall be subject to inspection. All contractor personnel must obtain base passes, or be listed on the Entry Access List (EAL) throughout duration of work performance. Any persons in the EAL are required to bring two (2) forms of identification or REAL ID in order to access the base.

o All contractors will be escorted on the flightline by a member of 9 AMXS.

Contractor will practice good housekeeping during the project.

3. 9 CES will monitor and advise on the process from the SON to final acceptance testing to ensure that all code requirements are included, and all components are installed to code and manufactures specifications.

4. At the end of the installation, 9 CES and QA will inspect the installation for compliance. The testing process will include activating every fire alarm device in the facility to ensure that the fans shut down when any alarm is activated. If the installation is correct and there no code violations, the Record of Completion/Testing will be completed and filed as required by NFPA 72 and UFC.

5. Delivery Date: Contractor will have 30 calendar days upon receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP) to complete the project.

6. Project Progress and Payment Milestones: The contractor shall be paid for the work performed after completion of all work annotated within the SOW, and after submission of an accurate invoice for the completed work once work is deemed satisfactory and all required punch-list items are fulfilled.

Addressable Intelligent Devices and Modules

Description NOTE For use with all Monaco Addressable Integrated Radio Transceiver and Fire Alarm Control Panel SLCs.

This relay control module has two isolated sets of Form C contacts, which operate as a DPDT switch. The module allows the control panel to switch these contacts on command. The module does not supervise the circuit connections to the relay contacts.

Relay P/N 451-700-01 is a dry contact input style relay used to interface the relay control module with sys-tems that are beyond the voltage or current rating of the relay control module. The dry contact relay derives its power from the device it is controlling. The control input is a dry contact, and the wiring is Class II power limited.

Features Two isolated sets of Form C contacts Latching output drive circuit controlled by the addressable control panel Visible LED controlled by addressable control panel to be off, blinking, or latched (“solid”) on Low standby current
