About this file

This document is a Statement of Need (SON) from the 940th Air Refueling Wing (940 ARW) at Beale Air Force Base requesting the purchase of three multi-band radios. Specifically, the 940 ARW requires two PRC-152 radios for command-and-control capability during 801X operations, and one URC300 radio for the safety truck to comply with Air Force Instruction (AFI) 91-202. The SON states the radios are needed as soon as possible, as the 314th Air Refueling Squadron (314 ARS) currently borrows radios from the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron, which is being divested, and the 940 ARW Safety office will be non-compliant with AFI requirements without the URC300 radio. The SON provides the point of contact information for any questions.

The related federal contract opportunity is Solicitation Number FA468624Q0015, for the purchase of Multi-Band Radios, issued by the Department of the Air Force, Air Combat Command. The solicitation documents are attached.
