About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a federal solicitation for an office trailer at Beale Air Force Base. The solicitation seeks pricing for both a new leased and purchased double wide office trailer with 12 communication ports and 37 electrical outlets. Installation would require wood or pier foundations and LED lighting. Onsite utility connections do not currently exist, so lead times are needed to understand project completion. Outdoor shower or eye wash station should have a temporary installation per manufacturer instructions without additional pads or stand-alone mounting. Questions are due by September 8th for consideration prior to the RFQ closing date.

FA468622QA003 Double Wide Office Trailer RFIs Beale AFB
1. Will there be a CLIN for demobilization if not purchased?
a. Yes, we can accommodate that. Please provide pricing for demobilization in each Option
Year.
2. Is there a specific layout with outlets/ports identified?
a. Depends on the user’s requirements for office spaces. Please see example Trailer Layout with 12 communication ports and 37 electrical outlets. Any similar layout would work.
3. Will there be utility connections within five feet?
a. Yes
4. Need separate disconnect at unit?
a. Yes
5. Are there fire suppression/alarm requirements?
a. Yes
1). Is it a New or Used (refurbished) building?
We are only looking at a new facility as this will be longer term.
2). Sale or Lease?
If possible, we would love to receive information on both. Currently we are looking at between 3 to 5 years usage.
3). What type of foundation is required? Wood, concrete or pads and piers?
We are not able to pour a foundation for this requirement, so a wooden foundation or pads/piers (I believe I am more familiar with calling them spread footers) would be preferred methods. We are checking with our engineers at the base as this will go onto a grass field, so we are seeing if they have any compaction testing done for the soil.
4). Type of ramps? Steel or Aluminum?
We do not have a requirement for the type of metal. Price would be the differentiator between the two.
5). Would you accept LED lighting vice fluorescent lighting? LED is more energy efficient.
LED lighting will be required.
6). Is there existing onsite connection for water, sewer and electrical?
There is no current connection, we are looking only for the purchase of facility right now. The most important piece is understanding the lead times for your company on when this would be completed and delivered, as we will do the trenching and runs next year using money from our next fiscal year.
Add'l Question: "what are the expectation of the outdoor shower pad. There were no details on how it should be installed. Ex. In the ground with a cement pad, attached to the back of the trailer, have water and sewer installed? Any details are appreciated"
Response: Temporary eye wash / shower station is the requirement. Installation IAW manufacturer instructions is requested but there is no additional requirement for a concrete pad or stand-alone mounting off of the building.
