SUBJECT: Tree Removal Site Visit – Photos - Questions

1. June 6, 2024, at 10am Central Time, we had a site visit at BLDG 6030 on Dyess AFB to allow potential bidders to survey the site for the 7 CES Tree Removal requirement.

2. The following individuals were present:

7 CES:

SSgt Cody Balsness SSgt Ricardo Robles Mr. Cirilo Rendon

Contractors:

3. The tree is in an atrium type courtyard inside the building. The roof of the courtyard is open, and the tree goes through the top of the roof to the outside. There is an entrance on the side of the building that opens into a hallway then goes out into the courtyard. There is also an outer door that opens from the courtyard directly into the parking lot. Please see pictures below.

Questions/Information:

Is there access to bring in a stump grinder? There is an access door to the outside of the building on the back end of the courtyard (width of door is 41 inches).

A crane can be used as well.

Once tree is removed, site will need to be filled and leveled so that there was no evidence the tree was there. This may require native soil being brought in to fill the hole.

No rock replacement of the site is required.

There are bushes around the tree that will need to by sprayed/removed along with the tree.

An extension ladder can be brought in to access the roof from the interior courtyard.

All doorways into the courtyard will be accessible to the contractor.
