Q: PWS references drawing 596_2009_CTGB08-2007 RepairOperaonTrainingFacility G001 through E60. This drawing does not appear to be available at SAM.gov. Will this drawing be made available?
A: This drawing has been added to the informaon in the solicitaon and provided to those offerors that atended the site visit and sent in quesons.
Q: PWS states "Replacement of air handlers includes replacing both heang and cooling coils, fans, pumps, sensors, valves and associated piping." Neither exisng AHU has pumps at the air handler and no pumps were discussed during the walk-through. Are the pumps to be replaced the main chilled and heang water pumps, or are pumps to be removed from scope of work?
A: Replacement of equipment to include 2 chilled water pumps and 2 hot water pumps.
Addionally, these new pumps require VFDs. VFDs are an addion to the scope of the project.
Q: PWS states "Replacement of air handlers includes replacing both heang and cooling coils, fans, pumps, sensors, valves and associated piping." Does the word "fans" refer to the air handling unit supply fan or fans outside of the air handler? If "fans" in this statement refers to fans outside of the air handler please idenfy which fans.
A: The word fan refers to the air handling unit supply fan. No other fans are included in the scope of work.
Q: There are currently 3-way valves that are plugged off on one port (being used as 2-way valves). Does the Government want the new 3-way valves configured the same way, or does the Government want all VAVs with 3-way valves repiped for true 3-way operaon?
A: The addion of the VFDs should allow the 3-way valves to be replaced with 2-way valves.
Contractor to consult with controls sub determine if 3-way operaon is required.
Q: During Site Visit, it was menoned that outdoor equipment will need to receive special paint to match other equipment on site. Please provide informaon on type of paint to be used.
A: BCE has decided to remove the requirement of special paint color to outdoor equipment to reduce cost and lead me of equipment
