Q/A
1. Will hand carried quotes be accepted?
A. Yes, if the sealed quote arrives prior to the solicitation’s closeout deadline.
2. Will asphalt need to be repaired if it is removed?
A. Looking at the drawings, asphalt should not have to be excavated to get at the water line. However, if asphalt needs to be removed, it shall be removed with straight cuts and replaced. Place 12-inches of gravel sub-base, compact to 95%, replace with 4 inches of asphalt.
3. Who owns the transformer that is to be removed?
A. The transformer is the property of the United States
Air Force and per note 2 on page 3 of 5 of the drawings, the contractor is to dispose of the transformer.
4. Can equipment be left at the jobsite?
A. Yes, but at your own risk.
5. Can an RV or base campsite be utilized during the project?
A. 24 hour passes will not be issued and lodging arrangements are on you not the government.
Additionally, base facilities like Fam-Camp are reserved for active duty personnel, members of the Guard & Reserves, Retires, and DoD Civilians.
