Text version

These questions were submitted in regards to FA4626-12-R-0021 Alarm Maintenance.

1. PWS paragraph 8 states, " The contractor shall maintain supply availability for life cycle support, including on-site inventory, ordering non-inventory items, and item disposition." This seems to infer that the contractor shall maintain the gov't inventory in a gov't facility on base. Where is this facility located and how will access be granted in an after hour priority 1 work request?

A: On-site inventory should have been removed, due to building downsizing. We have no available space on base any more. This will require an amendment to the solicitation.

2. PWS paragraph 9 states, "The contractor shall assume control of existing spare parts on site." Does the contractor need to include costs associated with making facility modifications in order to ensure contractor control of the gov't provided inventory?

A: Due to the fact that no facility space is available, the contractor will be required to store the existing spare parts. Approximately 10sq ft of space will be necessary.

3. Could the inventory be moved to a contractor controlled warehouse located off base?

A: Yes

4. In order to maintain appropriate service levels, more than one security technician will be needed. How many technicians are included in the roughly $9,000.00 training budget in CLIN Items 0004, 2004, and 4004?

A: It is anticipated that 1 to 3 technicians will be covered by the $9000.00 training budget.

5. Is there special inventory software the contractor must purchase?

A: No, you can use an excel or word for inventory purposes.
