1.2. Background: Water and mold remediation is a service that is needed after an incident where a water supply line bursts or leaks, water enters a facility after a natural weather storm event, or any other event that large amounts of water enters a facility. The intent is water cleanup and mold remediation of the affected area and return to full operations as soon as possible.
Disinfection services (proactive or reactive) are periodically needed to assist with disinfecting an area that may have virus, other unsanitary conditions, or contaminants.
1.3. Anticipated Period of Performance (PoP): The PoP for this BPA will be a base of one year with four, one-year option periods. Service will be as needed, and will be done by placing a call for services when required. The schedule, locations, detailed nature, and any other specific requirements for water/mold remediation or disinfection will be furnished to the Contractor by way of the Supplemental Information provided in Attachment 1 upon placing a call for services and when any changes occur due to unforeseen operational factors. The Contractor shall perform to the standards in the agreement as well as comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
1.4. Recognized Holidays: Occasionally, a BPA call may be placed on a federal holiday and the contractor is required to work on that day. The following are recognized United States (US) holidays (https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/pay-leave/federal-holidays/). If a holiday falls on a weekend, the Government will have an observed day off on the Friday preceding or Monday following. The contractor shall perform services on these days as required:

Occasionally, the contractor may be requested to perform the service outside of the core service hours (7 days a week, 24 hours a day) stated above; this includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Performance shall be at location of water/ mold remediation or disinfection.

2.1. Unscheduled Gate Closures: As determined by the Security Police, gate closures may occur at any time causing all personnel entering or exiting a closed installation to experience a delay. This cannot be predicted or prevented. Contractors are not compensated for unexpected closures or delays. Vehicles operated by contractor personnel are subject to search pursuant to applicable regulations. Any moving violation of any applicable motor vehicle regulation may result in the termination of the contractor employee’s installation driving privileges. Work scheduled not accomplished because of base closure due to weather, exercise, or actual alert will be accomplished as soon as possible after reopening of the base. Occasionally, it is necessary to require early release of Whiteman AFB personnel, late reporting, or a total base closure when weather conditions make normal travel unsafe. When weather conditions cause one of the above situations, Contractor personnel will be denied access to the base, unless they have been notified that their contract service has been determined essential. Occasionally, real world situations or exercises may prohibit base access or ability to remain on base. Information pertaining to WAFB operating status can be accessed at the following website: http://www.whiteman.af.mil http://www.whiteman.af.mil/ and Disinfection Service January 31, 2022 Page 4 of 9

The contractor and all associated subcontractor employees shall provide all information required for background checks to meet installation access requirements to be accomplished by installation Security Forces.
