FY25 HANGAR DOOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICE

SOLICITATION: FA462124Q0046

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

27 AUGUST 2024

1. Are there any hangar, mega and/or roll-up doors on the Guard side of base or off base that we provide services to?

Yes, there are hangar doors and some roll up doors on the Guard side of the base that will require service per the PWS. No, we do NOT have any doors located off base, everything that requires service is considered “On Base” at McConnell AFB. Below is a list with description of the doors on the guard side.

· Hangar 9 which has 8 hangar doors

· Hangar 50 which has 4 hangar doors

· Hangar 50 has 2 overhead doors

· Building 51 has 5 overhead doors

2. The solicitation stated "no current funds available". Will there be funds available for when the contract starts?

Yes, there will be sufficient funds when the contract starts. Since this is a fiscal year 2025 requirement, funds will become available on 1 October 2025 at the start of the new fiscal year and start of the period of performance for this requirement.

3. Did I misinterpret the attachment from the 2019 solicitation that there were figured in cost already provided (rental, subcontractor)?

Only the documents referenced in this solicitation should be referenced and are applicable to this current solicitation.

4. Rental equipment for hanger doors, and mega doors, specifically like a boom lift to inspect way up high, is this equipment provided, or do we need to figure in this cost to our solicitation, and how do we break all these cost down to you?

The awardee shall provide all necessary equipment, parts, and labor for all work covered under this contract. For repair services (CLIN X007) outside the scope of CLINs X001 through X006, costs shall be negotiated prior to performance of any repairs. The amount in CLIN X007 will not be quoted and the resulting contract will state the estimated total cost for all repairs in each period of performance.

5. Can you clarify the difference between the annual and monthly maintenance for the mega doors?

Each month, all mega doors are expected to be inspected. In addition, everything else is expected to be inspected annually.

6. Are personnel doors affixed to hangar doors going to be a separate clin or part of the hangar door cost?

No, the personnel doors are a part of the hangar door system, no need for a separate clin for them. They will be part of the hangar door cost.
