About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics attachment for a federal contract solicitation (FA462026QA206) issued by the 336 Tactical Response Squadron (TRSS) at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The document outlines requirements for the procurement and delivery of modular wall systems for the A2/E2 Lab at Fairchild AFB.
The contractor must provide and deliver a reconfigurable modular wall system consisting of a minimum of eighty-five (85) 4' x 8-10' lightweight panels designed for indoor use only. The system must include eight (8) to sixteen (16) doors with half opening inward and half opening outward, with a minimum of four doors designed as "breach style" to allow easy replacement of locking mechanisms and knobs. Windows are optional but, if provided, cannot include open spaces that can be opened. The assembled system must cover a minimum of 1,800 square feet to a maximum of 2,500 square feet. The frame construction shall consist of lightweight vertical uprights, horizontal stabilizer bars, and adequate connectors to enable full use of all panels, windows, and doors. The system must be portable and assemblable by no more than two people without additional equipment. Panel color must match an industrial or prison style façade in natural brown, dark grey, or black. Delivery is required to Building 1207, 900 Artillery Road, Fairchild AFB, WA 99011. The system will support the 336 TRG SERE training program by providing a dedicated escape training laboratory to consolidate escape, combative, and urban evasion training and improve student learning outcomes.

Once the modular walls are purchased and delivered, Building 1207 will accommodate Joint Capability Tasks by providing a dedicated escape training laboratory, reduce the strain on overtasked facilities, improving student learning outcomes, and advancing the consolidation of escape, combative, and urban evasion training into a centralized location. These modular walls will be used to increase USAF SERE School student practice Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
3. REQUIREMENTS:
Contractor shall provide and deliver the following:
a) Modularity: Reconfigurable design for varied layouts and scenarios.
b) Portability: Easy to assemble, disassemble, and transport with no more than two people or additional equipment.
c) Panel Construction: Minimum Qty eighty-five (85) 4' x 8-10' light weight panels for walls and includes QTY eight (8) to sixteen (16) doors with half opening inward and half opening outward. Minimum (4) four of these doors need to be “breach style,” where the locking mechanism and knob can be easily replaced. Windows are not required, however, if offered, there cannot be an open space on the panel. Open space must be covered and unable to be opened.
d) Frame Construction: Lightweight vertical uprights, horizontal stabilizer bars, and adequate number of connectors to allow for full use of all panels/windows/doors.
e) Assembled Total Area Coverage: Minimum size of 1,800 sq/ft to a maximum size of 2,500 sq/ft
f) Will be used indoors only.
