About this file
This Standard Form 30 (SF 30) Amendment 01 for Solicitation FA462025QA981 addresses vendor questions regarding a parachute packing table procurement for the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command. The amendment provides detailed clarifications about the mobile table system requirements, including storage specifications, moving capabilities, and installation environment. Key details include a requirement for tables with both electrical and manual moving capabilities, 30 feet of storage per table with approximately 5 drawers per storage cabinet, and installation on an uneven second-floor room with a hydraulic cargo lift capable of lifting 2000 LBS.
The solicitation seeks brand name or equal parachute packing tables with collapsible abilities and built-in storage. Vendors are advised about specific installation constraints, such as an uneven floor that slants approximately one inch, limited power outlets (only on walls), and narrow stair and elevator dimensions. The amendment includes images of a similar tracked storage system as a potential reference and instructs vendors to complete specific blocks on the form when submitting their proposal. The effective date of the amendment is 22 July 25, and the original solicitation was dated 26 June 2025.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES
The purpose of this amendment is to:
1. Provide answers to questions proposed by interested vendors.
Q1: In the salient characteristics, 3.d. it mentions electrical and manual moving capabilities. Do you want the mobile system to be mechanical assist or electric?
A1: The government requires that the mobile system have both electrical and manual moving capabilities.
Q1: In the salient characteristics, 3.f, it mentions storage underneath, locking system for tools and drawers with keylock. Please specify quantity, dimensions and layout of tables, drawers, locking cabinets, etc. below table tops
A2: For the storage underneath, the government requires 30 ft of storage per table. All drawers shall have locking capabilities. The government requires approximately 5 drawers per storage cabinet; however, more is fine. Storage underneath the tables shall be approximately the width of the tables (3 ft) and approx. 5 feet long below tabletops. Please see Salient Characteristics and T.O. for required table dimensions.
Q3: Will we be installing it on the first or second floor? If on the second floor, is there an elevator?
A3: The installation will be on the second floor. The elevator shaft we have is a hydraulic cargo lift capable of lifting 2000 LBS from the first floor to the second floor and is 4.5 ft by 4.5 ft. The width of the stairs is 3 feet 4 inches with the shortest distance to the ceiling being 9 ft then the tallest section being over 30 feet from the ceiling.
Q4: What is the condition of the room?
A4: The floor itself is uneven and slants down by approximately an inch. The contractor shall take this into account prior to installation to ensure the mobile tables remain stationary and do not move out of control.
The contractor shall also confirm that sufficient power outputs exist for the mobile tables and storage to be functional. Additional outputs may be required as there are no outputs on the floor of the facility, only the walls.
Q5: How does the government want the storage to be mobile?
A5: See Attach.1 – Salient Characteristics para 3. D. for how the tables and storage shall be moved. Also, see below for pictures of a similar storage system that is on tracks as an example for one solution that may be employed.
Fill out blocks 15a, 15b, and 15c and provide a copy with your proposal.
