About this file

This is Amendment 01 to solicitation FA462025QA923 issued by the 92nd Contracting Squadron at Fairchild AFB, providing answers to vendor questions about crosswalk system requirements. The amendment clarifies that the crosswalk assemblies must be double-sided with flashing blinkers visible to both directions of traffic, and that the contractor is only responsible for delivery of the systems to 100 W. Ent St, Fairchild AFB WA 99011, not installation.

The amendment includes three reference photos showing existing crosswalk systems at Fairchild AFB. The photos depict solar-powered pedestrian crossing signs with flashing warning lights, mounted on poles with control boxes. The systems include yellow diamond-shaped pedestrian warning signs with diagonal arrow placards below, and push button activation panels with instructions for pedestrians to activate the warning lights. The installations are shown in winter conditions with snow on the ground.

Amendment 01 Page 2

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The purpose of this Amendment is to:

1. Answer questions posed by interested vendors

Q1: Would you like the crosswalk assemblies to be double sided or single sided? In other words, would you like each sign assembly to have flashing/blinkers on the side facing approaching traffic only or facing both oncoming and opposing traffic?

A1: Crosswalk assemblies shall be double sided so that the signs and any flashing blinkers are visible to both directions of traffic. Per paragraph 3.7 of Attach. 1 – Salient Characteristics, “Crosswalk illumination will be visible by both directions of traffic.”

Q2: Can you please clarify whether the successful offeror is responsible for onsite physical installation of the crosswalk systems, or if the successful offeror is only responsible for supply and delivery of the crosswalk systems?

A2: The successful will be responsible for delivering the crosswalk system only. The successful offeror will not be performing any installation of the crosswalk systems. Attach. 1 – Salient Characteristics (Amend 01) has been updated to better describe this requirement and remove potential confusion.

Q4: Where will the crosswalk systems be delivered to?

A4: The crosswalk systems will be delivered to Fairchild AFB. The street address for the building on base is 100 W. Ent St Fairchild AFB WA 99011

Q3: Can the government provide photos or a diagram of a current crosswalk system that is in use on base?

A3: Yes, pictures of the systems currently installed are provided for reference. See pages 3-5 for the attached pictures of the crosswalk systems that are installed on Fairchild AFB.

Fill out blocks 15a, 15b, and 15c and provide a copy with your proposal.
