SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

The purpose of this amendment is to: answer previously asked questions, extend the quote date to 30 March 2020 at 1:00 PM PDT and update the SOW

1. Is there a source of water for the drilling activities on-site or on the base that is accessible by our drilling subcontractor? We noted there is a hydrant adjacent to the work site. Is it possible to take water from the hydrant or is there a hose bib nearby? The amount of water required will be dependent upon the amount of rock coring required.

a. There is a fire hydrant near the drill site that shall be used for water access.

2. Were the 3 structure foundations designated by the orange traffic cones seen onsite today?

a. Stakes indicated the foundation location, and the cones indicated the tower leg locations.

3. Will the Military mark all the utilities within the work zone or do we need to send a separate request? If the latter, who does this go to?

a. The Government shall have utilities marked before performance.

4. 4)Are there any past geotechnical/foundation studies published for nearby structures? If so, are they available and in the public domain?

a. No previous surveys have been conducted in the area.

5. Are there any known soil/rock or groundwater contamination issues at the project site?

a. Previous environmental surveys in the area have found no contamination.

6. Are we responsible for analyzing soil/rock and water samples during drilling to determine a wide spectrum of potential contamination?

a. The original intent of this requirement is a geotechnical analysis, however if obscure smells come from borings, or trace amounts of toxic chemicals are found during the survey then Fairchild Environmental will need to be contacted immediately.

7. If contaminates are suspected or found in the soil/rock or water, who approves the disposal methods and location?

a. The contractor shall coordinate suspected contamination with Base Environmental. A contact will be provided by the contracting officer if necessary.

8. Should all the drilling spoils be considered contaminated and disposed of accordingly?

a. It is not anticipated that soils will be contaminated.

9. Can photographs of the access route and work site be taken by the Military and provided for use in determining our means and methods?

a. Images included below.

10. Is the vehicle gate adjacent to where we entered the site the designated access point for our equipment and vehicles?

a. Large trucks will need to access base from the Rambo Gate. Site access will be from the vehicle gate in front of bldg. 1200.

11. If damage to the lawn is anticipated and restoration is required, what seed mixture and fertilizer will be required to restore the lawn?

a. This area is a mixed wild grasses mixture. It is not maintained with nice sod.

12. Is it anticipated that the project will begin after the ground has solidified or is it anticipated that work will begin immediately

a. The sampling needs to be accomplished as soon as possible. The team will arrive to install the tower in June/July.

13. In the Scope of Work, 1.2 Properties, item 3, Unconfined compressive strength – does this include soils or is it limited to the rock cores?

a. It includes soil and rock if encountered.

14. We will also need structural loads and moments of proposed tower.

a. Attachment 2 has been added to the SOW.
