STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
B-52 MEMORIAL REFURBISHMENT
FARICHILD AFB, WA

Statement of Work (SOW)
For B-52 Memorial Refurbishment
Fairchild AFB, WA
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE: The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, equipment and materials required to repair and refurbish the B-52 Memorial (Photos in Appendix A). The current paint will need to be removed, chipped concrete smoothed and resurfaced and repainted with an epoxy paint.
2. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall complete all work, which includes furnishing all supervision, labor, material, equipment and services, unless otherwise specified herein, required under this contract. A Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) has been performed in support of this requirement and is provided as Appendix B. All work shall be performed in accordance with all Federal, State, local laws and regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations and this Statement of Work (SOW).
1. Remove and dispose of old paint and surfacing material. If media blasting is the choice method, the contractor must follow all Spokane Regional Clean Air guidelines and obtain appropriate permits.
2. During all phases of this requirement, care shall be taken to prevent damage to surrounding turf, hard surfaces and potential overspray.
2. If removed, bronze placards shall be retained and reused in same location.
3. Repair and smooth existing concrete surfaces to a uniform appearance and prepare for exterior surfacing application.
4. Paint memorial using an epoxy/urethane high performance coating system specifically designed for exterior exposure.
A: Color shall be Black or Dark Charcoal Gray
3. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY AND SERVICES: The government shall furnish site access. In the event of an emergency, dial 911.
4. GENERAL INFORMATION
4.2 HOURS OF OPERATION: Hours of operation are 0700-1630 Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays and any other designated down day. Work can be done at other than the normal hours of operation with the approval of the Contracting Officer. The contractor shall coordinate in advance all hours of work and any service interruptions with Civil Engineering points of contact.

4.2 SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: All personnel employed by the Contractor in the performance of this contract, or any representative of the Contractor entering the government installation, shall abide by all Fairchild Air Force Base security regulations.
4.3 Period of performance shall not exceed 30 days from the date of award.
