QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Question 1 Does the outlet needing to be installed be directly installed or will conduit have to be ran from the service equipment?

Answer 1 The outlet will have to have conduit ran from the service equipment panel box which is located approximately 150’ from the location of the requested outlet. The conduit will likely require surface mounting on the interior of the building. The service equipment is located in room 214A of building 2447.

Question 2 RFQ does not state the number of tools required. The requirement is for only one tool with a manual tool change or is an automatic tool changer required?

Answer 2 An automatic tool changer is not required. The number of tools required is determined by either the manufacturer’s design or the model of the manuel bit change router used.

The bits required are to be ½” shank bits with carbide blades/edges and consist of the following: (1) 90 degree V bit, (1) 60 degree V bit, (1) ball nose bit, (1) tapered ball nose bit, (1) 1/8” flat tip spiral upcut bit, (1) 1/4” flat tip spiral upcut bit, (1) ½” flat tip spiral upcut bit, and (1) bottom clearing/spoilboard upshear design.

Question 3 The CNC machine itself and the vacuum pump run from two separate circuits and power supplies so that they may work independently of one another. Is this acceptable?

Answer 3 Separate circuits for table and router are authorized as long as all power is ran through one plug capable of running on a 208v three phase outlet. The authorized outlet for installation is a single 208v three phase outlet. Any CNC Router and table shall be capatible with the installed outlet.
