2. PROJECT SCOPE:

2.1 Basis of Design: The pvc roofing system was designed around “96 mil pvc roof system by SIKA The roof system includes 24 gauge min. prefinished metal copings, flashings, single ply 96 mil PVC membranes, 2 layers of 2.6”polyisocyanurate rigid insulation, high density gypsum fully adhered coverboard, fasteners, adhesives, roof drains and metal roof drain covers, etc. down to the roof deck.

The “Edge to Edge, no dollar limit” warranty by the primary roof membrane manufacturer shall warrant the roof system to include 3” diameter hail stones, 120 mph minimum winds as reported by the national weather service, for a minimum warranty period of 20 years. Other types of roofing systems may be accepted from other manufacturers, including “2 ply reinforced modified bitumen system” by Garland Company and Versico’s VersiFleece RapidLock VersiFlex 135 mil. white reinforced PVC membrane attached with Velcro Brand Securable Solutions”. (Carlisle Company is the parent company of Versico Roofing Systems), provided they can meet the project requirements. By submitting a bid, the contractor and primary roofing membrane manufacturer, (prmm), warrant that they can meet all the project requirements as outlined in this Statement of Work and Contract Documents. The prmm warranty, edited to comply with the Contract Documents, shall be submitted for approval with the shop drawing submittal. Prmm’s sample standard warranty will not be accepted if it hasn’t been edited to comply with project requirements. The edited sample warranty may contain a “SAMPLE” watermark.

The roofing installation contractor shall provide a separate 2 year installation warranty.

2.2 The contractor shall provide all labor; materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the following work: Demolish existing single ply roofing system down to the existing roof deck.
