Amendment 0001 Questions and Answers Attachment 5
Q1. What is the existing conductor raceway and conduit size, can the 10 awg wire be pulled out and the 8 awg pulled in or does new conduit need to be installed for the 8 awg wire?
A: The conduit is 3/4". We should not need to install new conduit.
Q2. Can the government tell us what the existing breaker are, manufacture/AIC rating and type of breaker?
A: Current breaker is a 20A two phase, the panels are Square D (The panels should all be the same although it is possible that at some point one or more may have been changed to a different manufacture).
Q3. Will we be able to schedule the work of each site as needed to continue on a linear path.
A: Scheduling will need to be coordinated with Missile Engineering, the sequence of work and site availability will depend on the situation.
Q4. Are these building above ground on the sites or below, how difficult is access?
A: The buildings are all above ground. Access to the equipment should be fairly simple. The panel is located in an equipment room across the hall from the kitchen. The circuit runs from the panel into the attic and down into the kitchen. The site is a controlled site, once an EAL is approved an escort will be assigned and access should not be a problem assuming the contractors personnel remain consistent.
Q5. Will there be an inspection required as site are completed? Or will there be an inspection of all sites at the end of the project?
A: We would prefer to inspect each site as it is completed.
