About this file
This document is a detailed specification sheet for three-phase pad-mounted transformers for Vandenberg Space Force Base. The specifications cover five transformer models ranging from 112.5 kVA to 750 kVA, with primary voltages of 12.0 kV or 12.47 kV and secondary voltages of 120/208V or 480V. Key requirements include all stainless-steel construction (304L or 316L grade), dead-front construction, copper windings, mineral oil-filled (Non-PCB) with FR-3 Fluid, a two-position load break primary switch, 5-position tap changer, and compliance with 2016 DOE Efficiency Standards. Additional specifications mandate Munsell-Green exterior painting, a guaranteed average coil winding temperature rise of 65°C, and DGA testing to verify conformance with ANSI C57.12.00 and ANSI C57.12.90 standards.
The document is part of a Sources Sought Notice for the 30th Contracting Squadron, seeking to identify potential contractors for five medium voltage pad-mounted transformers. The acquisition targets NAICS code 335311 with a size standard of 800 employees, and aims to determine small business participation. Interested vendors are encouraged to demonstrate their qualifications and ability to meet the detailed transformer specifications, with the goal of potentially establishing a small business set-aside procurement.
