About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) attachment for an IR Camera Systems and Accessories solicitation (FA4610258888(2)) issued by the Department of the Air Force Space Command. The Q&A provides technical clarifications about the camera system requirements, including specifications for video output, detector characteristics, and operational parameters.

Key technical details include: HD/SDI video output is acceptable for standard viewing and recording, with CoaXPress specifically required for raw high-speed data storage. The camera system features a 15um detector pitch, InSb (Indium Antimonide) detector, and a 3.0-50 um spectral range. The system is designed for long-range applications, with a working distance ranging from 50 feet to 10 miles, adaptable through various lens focal lengths. The Q&A document resolves potential ambiguities about technical specifications and compliance requirements for the proposed IR camera system.
