Vindicator Badge Management System Install (FA461024QVBMS) Questions and Responses

Question 1: Do the Signature Pad and camera need to be purchased? (Ref: SOW Section 3.1) Response 1: Per the Statement of Work (SOW) the signature pad and camera have already been purchased and just require to be installed.

Question 2: Please provide more info on “Signal Booster”. What kind of signal is to be boosted? (Ref:

SOW Section 3.2) Response 2: DVI signal boosters/extenders. The physical VBM workstations will be located in the server rack in the Comm Room next door to the Pass and ID Office they will be operated in, so they’ll need boosters to run on the DVI Easy Pull, 100 ft cables (Also noted in the SOW).

Question 3: Does this mean that Labor, Parts, Travel and Shipping should be included in the cost? (Ref:

SOW Section 3.5(c)) Response 3: Yes, this is a Firm-Fixed Price contract.

Question 4: Do the items on the equipment list which state “Already Installed in Pass and ID” still need to be installed? (Ref: SOW Attachment 1 - Equipment List) Response 4: The verbiage “Already installed in Pass and ID” has been removed. Please see updated equipment list.

Question 5: Will installation solely take place at 108 Colorado Ave, Bldg. 13675, Room 142? If not, how far away are the other installation locations, and is there open pathway/raceway to the installation locations?

Response 5: The physical equipment installation will be exclusively at 108 Colorado Ave, Bldg. 13675, Room 142. Please see the install office layout. If physical access to the VSS servers is needed, they are located at Bldg 1978, approximately a 20–25-minute drive from Pass and ID. Both locations should have no obstacles for access.

Question 6: Is there a technical POC available for questions related to the planned installation?

Response 6: Chris LaGatta - christopher.lagatta@mcdean.com is the on-site tech.

Question 7: Do you need the three (3) one (1) year annual service plans priced into the whole effort?

(Ref: SOW Section 3.5) Response 7: Yes.

Question 8: What documentation is required to be submitted for the quote to be considered responsive?

Response 8: Per the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation submit the Pricing Schedule completed and a technical narrative.

Question 9: Do you have an estimate of expected number of service calls the contractor should anticipate? (Ref: SOW Section 3.5) Response 9: As needed.

Question 10: Are you wanting a full-time body on-site to respond to service calls? (Ref: SOW Section 3.5) mailto:christopher.lagatta@mcdean.com

Response 10: Per the Statement of Work (SOW), if it’s determined by the Contractor that a component, software, or other required equipment needs additional attention that is beyond phone, email, or remote support; the Contractor shall be on site (if not already) to fix the issue within ten (10) calendar days.

Question 11: Would maintenance be better handled by the folks that are already doing maintenance on the rest of the system?

Response 11: The install contractor shall provide three (3), one (1) year annual service plans IAW the Statement of Work (SOW). After the service plans expire, MC Dean will assume maintenance responsibilities.
