Statement of Work (SOW)

307th Maintenance Squadron

Munitions Storage Area Gate Assembly Replacement

1. Background for Requirement: The current vehicle and personnel entry control point (ECP) gate at the 307th Maintenance Squadron, Munitions Storage Area (MSA) requires replacement to restore serviceability and consistent security.

2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all management, tools, measurements, supplies, equipment, parts and labor necessary to accomplish the required services to ensure proper operation of the gate. The elements of this service are detailed in section three (3) of this SOW. The contractor will also be responsible for ensuring environmental regulation compliance throughout the entire project.

3. Place of Performance: 307th Maintenance Squadron, Munitions Storage Area (MSA), 4400 Range Road, Bldg 7560, Barksdale Air Force Louisiana.

4. Service Delivery Summary

3.1 The contractor will replace the existing 1500lb Rail Driven Gate Operator and chain system.

3.2. All materials must be weather resistant to prevent rusting and degradation to the system.

3.3. The existing operator and chain system must be returned to the point of contact for this installation.

3.4. The contractor will replace the existing keypads. The vehicle access keypad will be removed and replaced with new post to ensure longevity of the system.

3.5. All the wiring, if deemed necessary, will be reworked by the contractor to refresh the system.

3.6. All bearings and rollers on the current gate will be replaced and a track system installed to prevent the gate from being misaligned and prevent future sagging.

3.7. Install two new safety devices. Photoelectric beams are important to provide safety and detect the presence of an object before initiating the movement of the gate operator. Two photo beams will be added for the operation of this gate; one will be added to the entrance, while another will be installed for the exit.

3.8. The contractor will install two new safety loops for the entry and exit of the gate. This will require a saw cut into the concrete to lay the loops in the ground to detect the

frequencies for when vehicles are in a position that is not safe for the gate to automatically operate. This is also required by the UL 325 standard.

5. Services Provided by Munitions Squadron Personnel

5.1. Local Representative/Point of Contact (POC). Contractor will work with 307th MXG Munitions personnel for coordination of time on site. Contractor will work with Munitions Squadron to properly ensure the area is able to be secured during construction.

5.2. Hours of Operations. 307 MXS Munitions personnel will be available Monday through Friday, 0700 to 1630 to facilitate the contractor’s work.
