SUBJECT: FA460823QC112 – Secure Comm Rooms, Amendment 03
1. The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to the questions submitted by interested vendors. This document will be saved under "Attachment 4 – Question Answers".
Q1: Please identify those buildings within the flight line that will require escort and access? A1:
None of the buildings will require flight line access, however, the vendor will be escorted by 2 CS personnel.
Q2: Are any of the door frames filled with mortar?
A2: Approximately half of the doors are filled with mortar.
Q3: Do the various rooms have a building access node in each room?
A3: I am not sure what is meant by “building access node”. There is a network switch in each of the rooms if that is what is being referenced.
Q4: Must the conduit be EMT or is plastic acceptable?
A4: Must be EMT
Q5: What door strikes are required for each door i.e. type/model #?
A5: To the best of my knowledge, 4 doors require 1006C electric strikes and the other 15 require 7501 electric strikes.
Q6: Will the Government have IT to call out and show which node to plug into?
A6: Yes, they will be escorting the contractor.
Q7. Can we bill for parts when they arrive and are under Government control?
A7: It is possible to separate equipment and delivery/installation into two separate line items if that request is made aware on the submitted quote.
