The following have been added by full text:
Q&A
Questions and Answers
1. The pinch point hash marks you want installed, do they extend outside beyond the hangar doors or only on the inside of the hangar.
The hash marks extend outside hangar but will not be included. Only the internal lines need to be done (inside of doors).
2. Do you want the joints to be coated over after they are replaced, or install them after the coating is installed and they will be un-coated?
Joints will be coated
3. Will we receive the entire hangar all at the same time?
The whole hangar that is being done will be scheduled for the contractor.
4. Our equipment requires 480 volt, 30 amp, 3 phase power, is that available in the hangars, or do we need to supply our own generator?
There is 480 volt 30 amp 3 phase power available. I am working on the exact location but it is available in the area.
5. Is sales tax to be included in the bid?
All State and Local taxes that you as the contractor will incur should be included in the bid price.
6. Will flight line training/badging be required or will escorts be provided for the construction crew?
The 55th OSS will coordinate escort requirements with the contractor prior to the scheduled start. No additional training required.
Construction crew will receive site specific safety brief on first day at each hangar.
7. In hangar nine: Area two call for a 35-mil system on the print and then under that refers to the first coat as a ¼ in trowel (250-mil). Do you really want a ¼ inch trowel in area two (bay area). In the other hangars there is only a ¼ inch system in the tug areas.
KTR IS CORRECT, ONLY THE TUG AREAS GET THE 1/4"TROWELED ON EPOXY,
ALL AREAS OUTSIDE THE TUG AREA ARE 35 mil.
8. In hangars 3 and 2: The description of the product for the areas surrounding the tug lanes is called out as 1/16 inch (which equals 62.5 mils) in the solicitation. On the prints that same system is 27-mils when the total of the three coats is added up. What is the true thickness you are looking for. The 27 mils would be typical for the system as described.
CORRECTION, ALL AREAS OUTSIDE THE TUG AREA ARE A TOTAL THICKNESS
OF35mil.(SIMILAR TO DELTA 9 )
9. Please verify that all the existing joints will need to be reconstructed to ensure proper placement for a warranty to be granted.
REMOVE AND REPLACE ALL SEALANT FROM EXISTING JOINTS.
PRE-FILL CRACKS, JOINTS AND OTHER IMPERFECTIONS IN AREA OF WORK WITH
JOINT FILL ECO-PJS OR APPROVED EQUIVALENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS.
SEALANT OF JOINTS SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 07915 AND
MANUFACTURER’S SPECIFICATIONS
ATTACHMENT: SPECIFICATION 07915 SEALANTS,(DELTA 2,3, AND 9)
10. Will the drawings be revised to show actual measurements and square footage for each hanger? NO, SGBP 12 0087B(DELTA 2), SGBP 12 0087 (DELTA 3) BOTH INDICATE ON THE
DRAWINGS THAT KTR TO FIELD VERIFY SQUARE FOOTAGE AND SIGNAGE
REQUIREMENT.
SGBP 12 0092 (DELTA 9) SOW INDICATES KTR TO VERIFY QUANTITIES AND
SQUARE FOOTAGE.
