About this file
This is a Contractor Questions and Requirement Answers document for federal contract FA452826QD002 regarding microwave procurement and installation at Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota. The requirement owner clarified that 300 total microwave units (not 280 as initially stated) must be delivered and installed across six different facilities at the base. The units are to replace existing microwaves, with installation and removal of old units required simultaneously to ensure continuous availability for personnel. Brand-name-or-equal products meeting salient characteristics are acceptable. The contractor must complete all installation and disposal within 90 days from purchase, with allowances for supply issues beyond the contractor's control.
The requirement owner specified multiple operational requirements for base access and logistics. The primary shipping address is 214 Missile Avenue, Minot AFB, North Dakota 58705, with contractor personnel escorted by government representatives to multiple installation locations. All commercial trucks must enter through the South Gate for inspection, while contractor personnel using personal or rental vehicles may use the main gate (24/7 operations). Contractors must request base passes through the Contracting Officer no later than 10 days after award, providing full names, social security numbers, dates of birth, work and home phone numbers, and driver's license information for all personnel. Personnel must comply with the REAL ID Act of 2005 and bring current vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and valid identification. The point of contact for base access coordination is Treylon Flowers (treylon.flowers@us.af.mil). Disposal of the 300 removed units must be arranged and conducted off-base by the contractor.

Contractor Questions and Requirement Answers Microwave FA452826QD002
Contractor Questions
1. Number of units is not added up in PWS:
Building 214: 46 microwaves Building 528: 19 (storage) If these figures are added to the other requested installation areas, I arrive at a figure of 300 total units, not 280
2. Is a specific brand required or will brand-name-or-equal products be accepted?
3. Are installation and disposal required at the same time as delivery?
4. Are there multiple buildings involved or a single delivery/installation location?
5. Is there a required installation timeline after award?
6. SHIPPING ADDRESS — Could you provide the exact shipping address and point of contact on base for delivery of the units
7. BASE ACCESS — Our plan is to have a small crew of 4 on site to complete the installation and disposal. Could you let us know the process for obtaining base access passes for our team and who we would coordinate with to arrange that?
8. DISPOSAL OF OLD UNITS — Regarding the 280 units being removed, could you let us know the preferred disposal method? Is there a designated location on base where we can stage or dispose of the old units, or will we need to arrange off-base disposal ourselves?
