About this file
This document appears to be a maintenance history for washer and dryer units located at Minot Air Force Base. The units were installed between 2019 and 2024 by either the Facility Maintenance Squadron (FMS) or the 5th Civil Engineer Squadron (5th CES). The units are owned by the Dorm Management/5th Civil Engineer Squadron and are currently maintained by Dorm Management and a contractor, Kevin's Plumbing. The document provides details on several recent repair issues, including problems with pumps, drains, and gearcases.
The related federal contract opportunity is for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to provide repair and maintenance services for the washer and dryer units located in various facilities at Minot AFB, including Unaccompanied Housing Dormitories, the Fire Department, Lodging, and the Child Development Center. This BPA will be a one-year agreement that may be extended if the government still requires the services.

Text version
How old are the present washers and dryers? The oldest unit on record was installed in 2019 with the newest units being in 2024.
When were they installed and who installed the units? They were either installed by FMS or by 5Th CES Electrical. Dates above.
Who owns the units? Dorm Management/5 Civil Engineer Squadron Who presently maintains the units? Dorm Management & Kevin’s Plumbing Please provide history of maintenance since the units have been installed. We have a running log of minor repairs (belts and motors), but it is sent via his phone’s notes. Example below.
2/23/24 Dorm 211 washer 6 I tried replacing the pump and belt I ran a cycle and when it tried to drain when it’s full it would give a drain error Needs a new gearcase repair, so they are going to replace the machine.
Dorm 211 washer 5 Washer won’t drain I tried running a drain cycle and I could hear the pump humming but it’s not moving any water I checked for errors and got f8e1(long fill) and f9e1(long drain) I drained the machine with my shop vac I removed the drain pump and didn’t find anything stuck in it I checked voltage to the pump and it’s getting 120vac so the pump needs to be replaced Pump W10919003.
Dorm 130 washer 4 Washer won’t drain or spin I drained the machine and removed the drain pump and didn’t find anything stuck in it I put it back together and tried running a spin cycle and found the gearcase is making a nasty grinding sound Needs a new gearcase and they are going to replace the machine.
I don't see a timeline associated with this. Is it a year contract with optional years?
No, this is to be a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). It will be set up to last a year where it will be reevaluated. If government is still in need of the service, if so, we would ask for an updated price list and continue with the agreement.
