Ring Dike Project Questions
1. The drawings and specs contradict each other for temp fence height. One says 7ft and one says 6ft.
Please clarify.
- Both temporary and permanent fence shall be 7' to top of fence fabric with a 1' barb wire outrigger.
2. One part mentions “top OR tension” for the top of the fencing; which one?
- All fencing uses top and bottom tension wire.
3. The specs call for all posts to be cemented in, but other similar fencing projects have been the brace and corner posts cemented and the line posts driven in. Please clarify.
- Spec. Sect. 02444 para. 3.2.1 states "Gate, corner, end, pull and brace posts shall be set in concrete..." Line posts do not need to be set in concrete.
4. The drawings are 11x17 paper, with a scale of 1 inch equals 30 ft. Can we get the existing length of the three sides for fencing?
- Lengths (incl. gate):
F-02 - ~850 lf
F-06 - ~860 lf
M-11 - ~875 lf
5. Does the temporary fence require an animal barrier?
- Temporary fence does not require an animal barrier.
