Evaluation Factors for Award

Miscellaneous text in this section has been modified to:

ADDENDA to FAR 52.212-2 EVALUATION-COMMERCIAL ITEMS

1. Quotes will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106, which will be based on price and technical capability.

a. Price Quotation - All proposed prices will be determined by multiplying the quantities by the proposed unit price for each Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) to confirm the extended amount and the total amount. Failure to include a price for each CLIN may exclude the vendor from further consideration for award.

b. Technical Capability - Vendors statement confirming ability to provide Corrosion Control, Repair, Maintenance, Painting and Undercoating Services in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (Attachment 1) and also by submitting Attachment 2 with a Period of Performance for each vehicle. By doing so, vendor confirms time needed to repair each vehicle in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.

The technical ratings are below:

ACCEPTABLE - Vendor clearly meets the minimum requirements of the solicitation.

UNACCEPTABLE - Vendor does not clearly meet the minimum requirements of the solicitation.

2. Award process - The Government intends to award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable vendor. The evaluation process will go as follows:

a. The Government will evaluate all quotes for price, ranking from lowest to highest.

b. The lowest priced quote will then be evaluated for its technical capability. The quote must receive an acceptable rating in order to be considered for award.

c. If the lowest priced quote is measured unacceptable, the second lowest will be evaluated. This shall continue until a quote with an acceptable technical capability is found.

d. The Government reserves the right to make multiple awards if, after considering the additional administrative costs, it is in the Government's best interest to do so, to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation is determined to be the lowest price (LP) Per Individual CLIN (vehicle).
