About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document from a site visit addressing equipment specifications and certification requirements.
The document clarifies safe working load limits and testing standards for four hoisting and material handling devices. Part number 340224-1 (A/C unit track assembly) has a safe working load of 185 lbs with testing per NAVAIR 17-1-114.4.1 paragraph 6, page 116. Part number 3402245-1 (refrigeration hoist unit) has a safe working load of 200 lbs and comes in two variants (LPSTGENH1 and GENH2); the APUHT hoist is a separate item (PN 3402246-1) with testing per paragraph 6, page 122 of the same standard. Part number 3402242-1 has a safe working load of 190 lbs with testing per paragraph 6, page 108. Part number 3401207-5 (APU/GTC dolly) has a safe working load of 400 lbs with a test load of 800 lbs. The document also addresses logistical and administrative matters: 16 total items require weight certification annually, with up to 4 items sent for testing at one time per the Performance Work Statement. The government retains responsibility for labeling items with part numbers and serial numbers and will coordinate this information with the certifying entity (Certex) prior to shipment. An additional clarification distinguishes between two similar equipment types, identifying that part number ES125155-1 is pictured rather than 3402242-1.
