1. – Contractor is correct. The vault is currently being removed and is no longer part of the scope of this project.

2. – Yes, contractor is required to give 2 week notice prior to removing gas service at each affected facility.

3. The project scope has changed. No scope of work is required inside the chain linked fence area at the back of the golf course. However, adjacent to the north side of the fenced area (next to the golf course cart path) the contractor will be required to hot tap the gas main and install a new gas meter and install piping/valve to bypass the meter for meter maintenance. The area will require shrubs removed, a 3 sided chain link fence installed with a gate and fence slats installed to conceal the area.

a. The work may be accomplished during normal working hours. With the requirement to hot-tap the main line, there will be no need to turn off gas or relight pilot lights basewide.

4. The scope of work that requires gas utility interruptions must be accomplished during summer months. The gas to each facility must be kept to a minimum but not to exceed 8 hours unless specifically coordinated with CE and the user’s consent due to unique facility constraints.
