About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document from a conference room follow-up site visit dated August 5, 2026, addressing clarifications on project requirements and installation specifications.

Key clarifications include: AV equipment will be commercially purchased off-the-shelf and does not require TAA compliance, as this is not a GSA contract and the contract value is below $208,000; all television specifications are contained in the Statement of Work (SOW). For the physical space, all existing VCT flooring and receptacle boxes must be removed to bare concrete, with 120V outlet locations finished with smooth drywall and no outlets remaining. Drywall patches behind glass should be smoothed and color-matched, with the building redecoration including that room. All faceplates, outlets, and switches must be replaced per the SOW. ¾ EMT armored or flexible conduit is acceptable for installation. Carpet squares will be selected based on an installation design guide with customer color approval. Furniture will be stored in the adjacent Heritage room. A 50-foot fiber optic HDMI cable is specified as the required Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution for video transmission to eliminate signal delay, with no alternative materials acceptable. The existing ceiling grid will remain in place.

Conference room follow up site visit 8/5/2026

1. Display type of television type? It is the intent for the AV Equipment to be commercially purchased on the economy here for this project. The previous notion that it must BE TAA compliant is unfounded. This is NOT a GSA contract, Not $208K or more, and the US is not the only TAA country. Displays made for US Sale are manufactured in MEXICO, a TAA signatory.

2. What are the TV specifications? All specifications for TV requirements are in the

SOW

3. Carpet squares, what type? Read installation design guide. Colors will be approved by customer.

a. Is there VCT under carpet? YES remove everything to bare concrete.

4. Are the Boxes for the receptacles remaining? The location of the current 120V boxes will be smooth drywall, do not leave an outlet.

5. Is ¾ EMT acceptable? YES Armored/Flexible conduit is acceptable. YES.

6. Drywall patch? Behind the glass we are just looking to make is smooth and match the other side of the wall. Color. Building is being redone that room will be included.

7. Are we replacing all faceplates? SOW. YES and outlet and switches as well.

8. Furniture, where is it being stored? In the Heritage room adjacent to the current kitchen area.

9. Fiber optic Cable? 50-foot Fiber Optic HDMI was specified as a COTS solution. They are commercially available and 50-foot leave room for the unit to reconfigure as required? Fiber optic removes the delay that will happen with video. There is not other material that is acceptable.
