About this file

This is a Response to Questions document for federal contract opportunity FA442726Q1074 addressing technical and operational inquiries submitted by a vendor regarding tent procurement specifications.

The vendor seeks clarification on five key technical and delivery requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). Questions 1-4 address product specifications where the vendor proposes equivalent alternatives to brand-name components: a patented RFMagLink triple-magnetic door closure system in place of the specified Velcro/security zipper configuration; a TactiFrame carbon-fiber modular frame instead of the Cyber 600 Series metal frame, maintaining the same 8'x7'x6.5' external footprint; a TactiFrame equivalent replacement parts kit with carbon-fiber tubes and CNC aluminum connectors replacing specific Cyber 600 part numbers; and TitanRF Faraday Fabric patches (26.5"x26.5") as a substitute for Nova Select patches, with the vendor emphasizing Berry Amendment compliance and consistency with tent body fabric. Question 5 addresses delivery timeline feasibility, requesting clarification on whether the specified 6-to-8-week delivery requirement following an anticipated award date of June 10, 2026 is a firm mandate or subject to negotiation if production schedules require marginally extended lead times. The Government's responses to Questions 1-4 reference a "Revised SOW," indicating modifications to original specifications, while the response to Question 5 references the existing "SOW," suggesting the delivery timeline remains unchanged.

FA442726Q1074 - Response To Questions

Question 1. Door closure system (SOW para. 2 and Technical Factor 4) The SOW specifies a 32"W x 64"H double Velcro door with security zipper, and Factor 4 allows for an equivalent double-magnetic closure.

Our CYPHERCYLENT tents use a patented RFMagLink triple-magnetic door with EaseUp lift assistance.

The triple-redundant magnetic seal provides continuous shielding integrity across the full door perimeter and eliminates the seal degradation that occurs as Velcro wears over repeated cycles.

We would like written confirmation that a triple-magnetic closure satisfies Factor 4.

Response: See Revised SOW

Question 2. Frame system (SOW para. 2 and Technical Factor 2) The SOW specifies a Cyber 600 Series Metal Frame at 8'x7'x6.5'. Our standard CYPHERCYLENT configuration uses a patented TactiFrame carbon-fiber modular frame with CNC-machined aluminum corner connectors and quick-release couplers, in the same 8'x7'x6.5' external footprint.

The TactiFrame is significantly lighter, corrosion-resistant, tool-less to deploy, and engineered for repeated field use.

Section j of the solicitation notice indicates brand name specifications are not applicable, so we would like written confirmation that a carbon-fiber modular frame meeting the 8'x7'x6.5' dimensional requirement is acceptable in place of the Cyber 600 Series metal frame.

Response: See Revised SOW

Question 3. Replacement frame parts kit (SOW para. 2) The SOW calls out specific Cyber 600 part numbers (200-302-QR, 200-304-QR, 200-308-QR, 200-312-QR, 200-316- QR) and tube lengths (46.50", 40.50", 37.50").

If our TactiFrame substitution above is accepted, we would supply a TactiFrame equivalent replacement parts kit consisting of carbon-fiber tubes in matched cut lengths drilled for quick-release at both ends, plus CNC aluminum coupler, 3-way T, 3-way corner, 4-way cross, and 4-way corner connectors. Please confirm this equivalent kit satisfies the replacement parts requirement.

Response: See Revised SOW

Question 4. Tent patching kit (SOW para. 2) The SOW specifies a 26.5"x26.5" Nova Select patch per tent. Nova Select is a competitor fabric.

Our patching kit would use TitanRF Faraday Fabric in the same 26.5"x26.5" size, which is Berry Amendment compliant and matches the shielding fabric used in the tent body.

Please confirm a TitanRF patch is acceptable in place of the Nova Select patch.

Response: See Revised SOW

Question 5. Delivery timeline (SOW para. 4) The SOW requires delivery 6 to 8 weeks after award, with an anticipated award date on or about 10 June 2026. We are evaluating our production schedule to confirm this timeline is achievable for both units.

If our review indicates a marginally longer lead time, would the Government consider a slightly extended delivery date, or is 6 to 8 weeks a firm requirement?

Response: See SOW
