About this file
This document is a Questions/Responses addendum for Solicitation # FA442725Q1135, dated 20 August 2025. The document addresses a specific inquiry about material selection for an obstacle course, with a focus on the Tunnel Crawl component. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) originally specified the Tunnel Crawl as constructed of high-density polyethylene, described as the "workhorse of construction plastics" that outperforms traditional metal and mineral materials.
In response to the material question, the customer explicitly stated a preference for vinyl over metal, citing practical concerns about temperature and surface conditions. The customer noted that metal would become excessively hot during summer months and potentially slippery when wet in winter, making vinyl a more suitable material choice for the obstacle course component. The document provides clarity on material specifications and demonstrates responsiveness to potential user experience considerations in the design of the obstacle course.
