About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) containing questions and responses from potential vendors regarding a federal contract opportunity. The RFI addresses three key inquiries: (1) a requirement for FedRAMP authorization, which the government confirms is mandatory for the Communication Squadron's system usage, (2) a small business set-aside designation that will remain fixed based on market research indicating multiple capable small businesses exist, and (3) a vendor's request to extend the submission deadline to September 12, which the government declined, stating the current timeline is adequate for market participants to develop and submit quotes.
The document is marked as CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) and provides direct government responses to vendor questions, emphasizing the government's position on contract requirements. The responses indicate a firm stance on technical compliance (FedRAMP authorization) and procurement approach (small business set-aside), with the government reserving the right to modify submission timelines only if it determines such a change serves their best interests.

Request for Information Responses
Q1. I'd like to inquire whether it would be possible to remove the requirement stating:
"Must have current FedRAMP authorization and must maintain compliance standards to continually meet FedRAMP authorization" on page 2 of the Statement of Work.
A1. If you are not capable of obtaining FedRAMP authorization, then our Communication Squadron would not allow us to use your company’s system.
Q2. Additionally, we noticed that the RFQ indicates a small business set-aside. We would appreciate confirmation on whether this designation is fixed or if there's flexibility to revise it.
A2. Based on the government’s independent market research, multiple companies exist under this socio-economic category that are capable of performing this requirement. For this reason, we are required to solicit to small businesses.
Q3. Given these considerations, along with the upcoming holiday schedule, we would like to respectfully request an extension to September 12, to ensure we can prepare a thorough and compliant response.
A3. The government has determined that this is adequate time for the market to develop a quote and submit. The government shall only extend the due date if we determine for our own reason that it would be in the best interest of the government.
