Statement of Need for
60 MDTS/Patient Food Operations Vulcan Hart Electric Convection Oven, Model VC44ED
Description: The Vulcan Hart Electric Convection Oven, Model VC44ED is a double deck electric convection oven to be placed in the patient tray assembly area and production area to produce meals for patients and hospital staff. The old ovens were sent back to facilities because they were no longer repairable. This is a “Brand Name or Equal’ small business set-aside request.
Contractor shall deliver the following:
1. Must include equipment uncrating, stacking, and set-up in 2 places.
2. Must include installation, parts & labor to run the electrical to connect them in the 480 V already existing on site.
3. Must include relocation and capping of the fire suppression at the area where these ovens will be installed.
4. Oven
4.1. Must be electric, 480 V, & 3 Phase to match our existing electrical power.
4.2. Must be double deck electric convection oven.
4.3. Must have 60-minute timer with audible alarm.
4.4. Must include 5 oven racks per oven.
4.5. Must be stainless steel exterior for easier maintenance.
4.6. Enclosed compartment must be porcelain enamel on steel interior.
4.7. Must be on 4 casters (2 locking).
4.8. Must be energy efficient.
4.9. Must have one-year limited parts and labor warranty.
5. Period of Performance – 60 days after the contract is signed.
6. Payment - Vendor must submit invoice to DFAS only upon completion of the contract (this includes delivery of equipment and installation).
