Statement of Work 22 August 2018

The 660th Maintenance Squadron has a requirement for a Water Foam Cutting machine to be installed in their tool room and have personnel trained for use, clean up and minor maintence if system requires. The machine must be the WardJet A-0612 or equal.

BASIC SERVICES: The contractor shall bring all tools, equipment, training gear, software and neccessities to job site for installation in 660 AMXS Tool room. The contractor and Point Of Contact (POC) shall review the current installation requirements additional items for sustainablity and training of personnel on usage of water jet cutter included in this contract and have the following characteristics:

• Fit an area of no more than 196” x 89” x 84”. Below is our shop layout:

• Cut an envelope of at least 24.25” x 48.25” x 7” cutting at a PSI up to 60,000.

• Driven by an industrial grade helical rack and pinion drive system, or equivalent, to be able to cut as accurately as possible.

• A controlling device to make cutting as user friendly as possible.

• A cutting enclosure to eliminate potential splash and to keep the used water within the assembly. The ceiling is only 9 ft, so a complete enclosure is desired.

• A tool kit for pump maintenance and consumable parts

• A remote water level control, or equivalent, for the automation of raising/lowering to the water level before and after cutting to two (2) set water levels.

• A 30 hp chiller, or equivalent, to keep water at a constant temperature to increase cutting efficiency and reduce water consumption.

• A 400 lb. SmartFeed Hopper that can be refilled with garnet while the waterjet is cutting.

The ability to refill without depressurizing allows for continuous cutting for an unlimited amount of time without interruption.

REPORTS: The contractor shall submit a planned work schedule to the POC for approval prior to arrival at station for set up and training. This will allow for all personnel available to train on usage, clean up and minor maintenance if system requires.

CLEANING SCHEDULE AND LOCATIONS: The work shall be performed in one complete cycle and no cleaning schedule need at one and only location 660 AMXS Tool room.

SCHEDULING. The contractor shall coordinate scheduling the work with the building Facility Manager and Section Chief of 660 AMXS Tool Room to ensure area is prepared and employees available to train.

The contractor shall notify the Facility Manager (707-816-3282), as follows:

The date and time of the month that the insallation and training of the water jet foam cutter will begin.

a. A work schedule, so that area and shift workers are uninterrupted in day to day operations

b. The contractor shall schedule all work with the Facility Managers. The contractor shall conform to the Government’s requirements for clearances and comply with the facility work hours.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

The contractor shall accomplish all work in such a manner as to safeguard installed equipment and protect adjacent structures from damage. All appliances, fixtures, machinery and other equipment in the way of the work operations shall be moved as directed and repositioned by the contractor at completion of the work in each facility. All motors and electrical equipment shall be protected from damage.

All equipment, supplies and tools shall conform to accepted and approved codes of the National Safety Council. Electrical devices including portable lamps shall be explosion-proof. All equipment disapproved shall be replaced, modified and/or repaired by the contractor, and be acceptable to the Government before work is started.

CLEANUP

Cleanup work must be accomplished promptly after completion of installation.

All residue, waste materials, grease, etc, shall be disposed of according to all appropriate local, state and federal regulations.

Cleanup of the work area in each building shall be accomplished to the satisfaction of the Facility Manager and the using agency before the job will be accepted as complete.
