About this file
This document describes the Salient Characteristics of a Drone Operations Management System (DOMS) with ADS-B and cUAS Integration. The comprehensive platform provides organizations a unified system to manage the entire lifecycle of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operations, integrating airspace safety, security, flight control, and traffic management functionalities. Key capabilities include centralized coordination of resource allocation, crew and asset management, mission planning and approval, in-flight monitoring, and post-flight evaluation.
The system supports multiple operational requirements, including authorization processes aligned with civil aviation authorities like FAA and EASA, UAS Traffic Management with strategic konflict detection, continuous air traffic monitoring, and integration with various detection systems (RF, ADS-B, radar, optical sensors). Additional features encompass customizable authorization workflows, real-time weather integration, flight log management, geospatial data repositories, and connectivity with different UAS platforms. The system is designed to enhance operational efficiency, support situational awareness, and comply with recognized security standards such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2, serving public, private, and commercial operators across multiple operational areas.

Salient Characteristics
Drone Operations Management System (DOMS) with ADS-B and cUAS Integration
Overview:
This Drone Operations Management System provides organizations with a unified platform to manage the entire lifecycle of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operations. The system integrates airspace safety, security, flight control, and traffic management functionalities into a single comprehensive application. Leveraging detection and communication infrastructures that can operate across jurisdictional boundaries, it streamlines management through centralized coordination of:
• Resource Allocation
• Crew & Asset Management
• Mission Planning & Approval
• In-flight Monitoring & Surveillance
• Post-flight Evaluation
By consolidating these capabilities, the system enhances operational efficiency, facilitates seamless communication between regulatory authorities and operators, and supports a smooth workflow that promotes safer and more effective drone operations. It integrates multiple data sources into a unified interface to provide real-time visualization of UAS airspace, supporting key objectives such as Airspace Security, UAS Operational Safety, and complete lifecycle management of UAS operations.
Salient Features:
• Supports authorization processes aligned with relevant civil aviation authority regulations (e.g., FAA, EASA) for multiple operational areas
• Provides crew and asset management functionalities
• Facilitates operational risk analysis for both air and ground environments
• Includes UAS Traffic Management (UTM) capabilities, such as strategic conflict detection and resolution
• Offers continuous air traffic and encroachment monitoring with alerting capabilities
• Integrates awareness tools compatible with various detection systems (e.g., passive RF, ADS-B, radar, optical sensors) to support airspace safety and aircraft separation procedures
• Provides a common operating picture for operations centers to enhance situational awareness
• Supports public engagement workflows for a range of operators including public, private, and commercial entities
• Enables integration of custom map layers using geospatial data from the United States Air Force and web map services (e.g., Esri or equivalent GIS platforms)
• Supports customizable authorization and approval workflows aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
• Facilitate operation work request and management workflows
• Incorporates NOTAM and Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) data from relevant aviation authorities
• Supports publishing advisories and notifications to operators
• Provides real-time weather conditions and forecast integration to support mission planning
• Includes flight log management and aircraft telemetry data integration
