CES ATSO Yard Supplies Q&A

Solicitation #: FA441824Q0088

JOINT BASE CHARLESTON (JB CHS), SC

1. What is the expected Period of Performance?

Timeframe of 1 Dec 24 - 15 March 25 expected time for project completion.

2. Could you please provide more detailed specifications for the concrete mix, particularly regarding air content and slump? We want to ensure that we are quoting the correct mix, as a 2-inch slump differs significantly from a 6-inch slump.

The concrete will be general use concrete. Air entrainment is not necessary since we don’t experience heavy freeze/thaw cycles. The requirement is 4000 PSI minimum due to the design specs.

3. Could you also clarify the intended use of the concrete (e.g., foundation, sidewalk, etc.)

to further refine our proposal?

The intended use of the concrete is foundation, but the load will be minimal since it will be a platform for SSS and MSS tents and personnel. There is no intended expectation to have any heavy equipment or vehicle traffic on the concrete.
