QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS – RFO No. FA441820Q0027
The Government received five questions about RFQ FA441820Q0027 since it was posted on 1 September 2020. Below are the questions and their answers.
1. Could you please tell me if the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation posted as solicitation number FA441820Q0027 will be a follow-on requirement to any work performed currently or in the past, or will this be a new requirement? If possible, can you please provide the most recent contract or task order number?
Answer: This is a follow-on requirement. Due to the current Purchase Order containing proprietary pricing, which may be available through Government and/or Public database searches, the Purchase Order number will not be released. Vendors that wish to obtain this information may submit a FOIA request.
2. The contract states that the Analytical Laboratory must be within a 20 mile radius of Joint Base
Charleston, SC Weapons Station for samples to be delivered by NPTU. Our laboratory is not in South Carolina and we would propose that we pick up the samples and deliver the samples next day to our certified lab. Would this be an acceptable method of sample delivery?
Answer: Yes, that will be acceptable, but you must include information in your quotation, making it clear that the Government would not incur any additional shipping costs.
3. The contract states that the Analytical Laboratory must be within a 20 mile radius of Joint Base Charleston, SC Weapons Station for samples to be delivered by NPTU. Our laboratory is not located within 20 miles of Joint Base Charleston, but we would like to submit a quote with pricing that includes shipping costs. Would this be acceptable?
Answer: Yes, that will be acceptable, but you must include this information in your quotation, making it clear that shipping costs are included in the vendors pricing and therefore the Government should not include additional estimates for shipping during the Total Evaluated Price analysis described in the solicitation.
4. Where can I find the representations and certifications at FAR 52.204-24, Representation Regarding Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment, mentioned in paragraph viii of the Combined Synopsis-Solicitation?
Answer: FAR 52.204-24 is available online at www.acquisition.gov.
5. What is the data reporting level required by this SOW?
Answer: The data reporting level shall be Level 2 (Results plus Quality Control).
